[Award Announcement] The 55th Social Contribution Awards Ceremony Hosted by the Foundation for Social Contribution

1 December 2020

Our Executive Director, Yosuke Nagai, and Director of Communications, Tomoki Kono, attended the 55th Social Contribution Awards Ceremony hosted by the Foundation for Social Contribution, at which we received an award in recognition of its contributions to society .

A total of 44 organizations and individuals were selected at this year’s awards ceremony. This marks our first award in the organizational category.

We were also honored to be one of three organizations whose work was featured in a short video shown during the ceremony. Each video, approximately five minutes long, introduced the organization’s activities to those in attendance.

The Social Contribution Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to serving people and society. In particular, the awards honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the well-being and safety of others across a wide range of fields, yet have received little public recognition for their efforts.

The awards recognize contributions in areas such as saving lives in emergencies, advancing social welfare and supporting youth development through sustained efforts, promoting international cooperation, protecting the marine environment, and promoting maritime safety.

We are grateful for this recognition and for the continued support of everyone who makes our work possible. We remain committed to working alongside our partners and supporters to further our peacebuilding efforts.
