9 April 2026
We are pleased to announce the publication of the policy paper “STRENGTHENING HUMANITARIAN ACTION AND ITS SUPPLY CHAINS TO PROTECT LIVES” by Civil 7 (C7)* 2026, an official engagement group of the G7.
*Civil 7 (C7) is one of the official engagement groups of the G7, serving as a global platform through which civil society organizations provide policy recommendations to G7 governments.
During the development of this policy paper, our organization actively engaged in discussion and collaboration with NGOs from G7 member states, as well as the C7 lead organization. As a result, insights drawn from our work and our key recommendations have been successfully reflected in the final document.
In particular, while emphasizing the necessity of addressing the root causes of armed conflict and instability, our contributions underscored the specific need for greater attention to disengagement and reintegration within the “Youth, Peace and Security (YPS)” agenda.
Building on this engagement, we also contributed to C7 2025 in Canada, where we presented a policy paper focused on Youth Associated with Non-State Armed Groups (YANSAG).
We remain committed to working with the international community and take further steps towards establishing international norms that ensure the rights and empowerment of young people who have been left behind.
