We are pleased to announce that Yosuke Nagai, our representative, has been selected to serve on the Youth Advisory Board of UN-Habitat (the United Nations Human Settlements Programme).

The Youth Advisory Board is a consultative committee established in 2008 by UN-Habitat, a specialized agency of the United Nations. Its role is to engage youth in UN-Habitat’s work and ensure that young people’s perspectives are meaningfully integrated into policies and programs.

Seventeen members were selected for this term. These members will work, in cooperation with youth-led organizations around the world, to make sure that the principle of “leaving no one, no place behind” is realized. Their efforts will focus on making youth voices reach, and be heard within UN systems.

At Accept International, in parallel with our on-the-ground activities in conflict zones, we will engage with this body in shaping policies and programs related to youth. Through this, we aim to address the challenges of terrorism and conflict with broad, multi-perspective solutions.
